Blockbuster Summer

Since we aren't going on any vacations this summer (#sadz), we decided we needed to do something to make the summer more memorable.

The obvious conclusion was to watch movies. Lots of movies. And not at home, but paid-in-theatres-movies.

Even though the summer movie season has already begun & we've actually seen a couple, we just finally consolidated our lists! Though I wouldn't be surprised if it changes a bit...

What you need to know is that I'm a sucker for action movies, watching the movies of my fave actors & sticking through a series.

Here it is!

Iron Man - May 3

SEEN!

Star Trek: Into The Darkness - May 16

SEEN!

Hangover III - May 23

SEEN!

Fast & Furious 6 - May 24

SEEN!

The Internship - June 7

Missed it

This Is The End - June 12

SEEN!

World War Z - June 21

SEEN!

The Heat - June 28

SEEN!

White House Down - June 28

SEEN!

The Lone Ranger - July 3

Grown Ups 2 - July 12

Don't worry, we'll do other summer things too. We're not that lame.

I'll post movie reviews too in case any of these are on your list!

Do you have a summer movie list?

Buh-bye Summer!

I know summer ended two days ago, but on this blog I've got one more summer post to share so it's going to be ending today. I just extended your summer - you're welcome.

Excuse the cliche but - where did the summer go? I know we say that every year but I must say that this year seems to have passed exceptionally quickly. Probably because there was so much going on with very little down time to just BE. Or I just don't remember that down time. Either way, summer 2012 went by in a flash!

In Toronto, you know summer is coming to an end when Th Ex hits town. And you know it's hit town when you can hear what sounds like World War III bomb planes outside. The air show is annoying.

Ribfest, $30 for a stuffed animal (thank you arcade!) & a Friday night to take in the last of summer gloriousness. Amazing.

We officially ended summer in style at this couple's very lovely wedding...

...with us looking as stunning as always...just saying ;)

As always though, I am looking forward to autumn - my favourite season by far! - for the winding down, bundling up and time to cozy up at home guilt-free! :)

Most importantly - only 2 months until my birthday! Don't worry, I'll share the wishlist soon to give you plenty of time to shop and mail your gifts!

Recap Time!

First post of June, eh? It's been a pretty busy trying to enjoy the warmer weather, etc. So here's what's been happening:

*Softball season has started! Despite the first loss, we're now 2:1. Just going to try to not have a repeat of last year.

*I made delicious falafel

*We had another clubbing date!

*Met up with my lovely bloggy friend Bree for the first time! A successful first 'date' I'd say :)

*Went to our first wedding together and looked great, if I may say so myself!

*Spruced up my apartment! Thank you centrepieces!

*Celebrated the warm weather with some delicious gelato! Way better than ice cream, btw

Happy #HumpDay!

Summer pressure: off

One of my favesies, Bree of .simply girly., hit the nail on the head with her most recent post and this pic:

That's what I've been saying all August - it's just been so so crazy that I want it to end. So much so that I'm really mostly taking it easy on this very last weekend of 'true' summer & doing chill things in addition to some alone time. At this point, my alone time = cleaning time though. LOL Lucky for me, the weather isn't that great - very humid & mostly cloudy - so I don't have to feel guilty about not being outside doing summer things.

How are y'all marking the end of the summer season?

My 6° of Separation from Vinny Guadagnino

Vinny of Jersey Shore famousness was at my hometown club hotspot - Dragonfly - last weekend. I would have made the trek if I had a partner in crime...and if I had had any remote chance of seeing him. Regardless, here's a photo of him post-appearance at the club.

Vinny's lookin' as cute as ever! Along with my juicehead ex-boyfriend. Thaaaaaaaaaaat's right. I dated that steroid-pumping bouncer...and loved every single minute of it!

Back in 2008 I was looking for love in all the wrong places - let's be real here, I still am - and had the most spectacular summer fling with said bouncer.

It was everything I would have wanted in a summer fling - started out of nowhere, full of late nights, early mornings, can't-get-enough-of-eachother amounts of time spent together [aka a lot], club perks for the bouncer's girlfriend and her friends (that's me! haha), tears at the airport...and an ending that was just as abrupt as the beginning.

And then I rebounded with Frenchie LOL If you don't know how that went then check out part 1, part 2, part 3 & part 4 of the Frenchie saga.

If you get the chance to date a bouncer without getting attached, I recommend it. It's a fun experience ;)
