Awesomeness Comes in Threes

At least it did for me this week.
I'm foregoing my usual Friday link-up fun to tell y'all about it.

#1
This guy moved in & now we're roommates!

We're not roommates yet in this picture but everytime I remembered to take one this week, I was already in my PJs with my makeup off and that just wasn't happening lol

He doesn't actually like when I say we're roommates though; "What, we're just roommates now? That's it?"
Umm no, silly. It's just fun to say. Mr. Serious over here.

My Nexus 4 arrived in the mail!

It's not that my old phone died completely but it was not built for my level of usage [#nerdalert] & this brings me just a little bit closer on my quest of being contract-free!

Needless to say, I love it.

I got a new job!
That's right - all the stress I've felt because of work will be over in one short week and I am extremely happy & relieved about that.
This was yesterday's song of the day:

Have a happy weekend y'all!
Stay safe & warm if you're in the #snowmaggedon belt like me!

book worm

I have always loved reading. Scholastic book order days in elementary school were my favourite days of the month. I look at my early book collection at home and still remember what every single book was about.

Summertime was always library time and I have my mom to thank for taking us all the time. I read the classics: Moby Dick, David Copperfield, Black Beauty, Frankenstein, and also fell in love with a couple of series including Anne of Green Gables & Narnia.

I was a regular reader until university when studying took up way too much of my time. I believe the only time I read in my university years was while I was on exchange in Germany and this famous series blew up:

I read here and there after university but I only got really back into it a couple of years ago when I picked up the Millenium series. After that I was back to being hooked.

I always thought the only piece of technology I couldn't adopt was the eReader. I just love books so much! But after much debate, I got my Kobo Glo for Christmas!
Cheesin' out with excitement!
Because of this, I am doubling my Reading Challenge goal for 2013 to 30 books! 1 down, 29 to go...

Check out my Book List!

The Not-So-New Badge

So I created a new blog badge a while ago and totally forgot to talk about it! This one is far more 'me' - simple and classy without being over the top. It also reflects the blog much better as it also incorporates the blog background which happens to be my fave Van Gogh piece.

Please do share it! :)
