The other day I posted the pictures from the BSB concert that I went to with my sister. While nothing beats the real deal - and believe me, it was incredible - I took some videos for y'all! Some are better than others...just excuse the cellphone quality!

They've Still Got It Going On!

A couple of weeks ago, my sister and I hit up a Backstreet Boys concert!

I have yet to find the proper combination of words to describe how incredible it was. I wasn't even excited until we got into the arena and saw all of the other people girls.

To be honest, I hadn't listened to the Backstreet Boys in a really long time but they were my choice boy band in my tween years. Once all of those memories started flooding back though, there was no stopping them. All I know is that I am beyond glad I waited nearly 20 years (HOLY SHIT!) to see a #BSB concert because I was able to fully, truly appreciate it!

As soon as we got our t-shirts, it was game on!

It was hard to pick the best pics b/c I spent most of my time enjoying the show or taking vids - post to come! - but these are the highlights!

Backstreet's Back!

Tomorrow night, I am fulfilling my 10 year-old self's dream - going to a Backstreet Boys concert.

I still can't believe I'm saying that, feels so weird. When my sister first told I wasn't fully convinced because guess what - I'm no longer ten and my musical tastes have changed drastically. But then I remembered this:

...and I owe to my younger self, so we're going!

To prep myself I've been listening to a slew of BSB's old hits (in no particular order) to get myself pumped. I cannot even believe how many of these songs I still remember all of the lyrics to!!!

Trying to hold onto summer just a little bit longer...

WOTE @ The Ex

To kick off the weekend, we hit up the The Ex (or CNE, whatever you want to call it), which is an annual 2-week fair with food, games, markets & concerts.

We usually spend our time browsing the market, playing the games & eating but this year, the main purpose was seeing Walk Off The Earth!

The concerts are free with the CNE admission ticket so BONUS! They weren't playing until later though so took advantage of the rest of the activities.

dC lost both bananas by the end of the night but I won him one back ;)

Completed our giraffe family by adding momma giraffe to last year's baby giraffe!

 Finally the concert started & we got rained on hard - but it was SO SO SO worth it!!!

Last weekend we went out to the club with dC's fam & it was a great time!

In case you don't know, I love clubbing. I do it nowhere near as much as I'd like to - every weekend would be nice - so it's great when I do get to go out!

We hit up Muzik, which is a super posh club in Toronto (celebs go there when they're in town and they usually host the after parties for things like Fashion Week & the Toronto International Film Festival).

In my opinion, it's over-hyped & over-priced but it's definitely gorgeous! Plus, who doesn't like being posh once in a while ;)

I'll let the pictures tell the story though...

I picked it up late last week just in time to fill it up with post-workout smoothies.

That's right, I said "post-workout". That's probably the first time I've used this phrase because as a general rule, I.do.not.workout. But that's not a sustainable lifestyle & no muscle = unattractive flabbiness so here I am, joining the gym.

And since it's technically Music Monday, here's my favourite workout song!

The Junos aka Canadian Grammys

I'll be honest - I never watch the Junos. I occasionally leave the opening skit on because it more often than not involves Russell Peters who is amazingly hilarious. But other than that, I really don't care. Most of the artists I haven't heard of because they play some indie music I would never listen to or they're so famous that I don't need to watch the Junos in order to see them.

Well I'm super glad that I left it on because Michael Buble was hosting & the intro bit was great. There may or may not be a small bit by the most gorgeous man on earth...you know who I mean!

But seriously, there are some really good Canadian artists out there that you should check out if you haven't already. There's more, but these are ones I enjoy listening to...

Bon Jovi, The Show

I can't believe I was able to cross off this major item off of my to do list: see Bon Jovi live in concert.

Thanks to dC for finally convincing me to buy tickets, because I put it off every time he comes to town. I can't imagine why.
