NYC, Part III

It's been a while since I posted Part 1 & Part 2 of our NYC trip, and mostly on purpose. The moment I posted it, it would be over and I've been avoiding that. But I feel that I'm going to enjoy writing this post and looking back at this wonderful trip. Not to mention really look forward to planning the next NYC trip!

Day 3 was my favourite I think. It was much more relaxed since we had covered most of the things on our to do list and explored some of the loveliest places!

Radio City already decorated for the Holidays!
To everyone who suggested to go up to the Top of the Rock (at Rockefeller Centre) instead of the Empire State Building - thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

Love

More Love

Even more Love

And some L.O.V.E. :)

The Serendipity Skating Rink!

F.A.O. Schwartz
[I love toys]

I love Forrest Gump!
[I definitely tried everything with 'Lt. Dan' in the name...]

Alas, goodbye NYC...until next time!! :)

NYC, Part II

Check out our Day 1 adventures!

After doing the more touristy things in Lower Manhattan on our first day, Day 2 consisted of exploring the Lower to Midtown neighbourhoods. This was definitely the part I was most excited about and the plan consisted of only one thing: walking.

Awesomely enough, my cousin and her bff were in town that weekend as well so we met up with them for part of the day :)
Lovelies <3

Little Italy

We couldn't not go into the Beats by Dre store!

This was super cool - I can't imagine how he did this!

DKinNY - perfect :)

Had lunch at this lovely place in SoHo

Washington Park - my favourite place of the day :)
I absolutely loved that these very Italian guys brought a thermos and espresso cups to drink in the park!
Wish we could have seen a Rangers [hockey] game!

Empire State Building (this is as close as we got)

One day I want to take a train into Grand Central, it was huge!

Ending the night at Times Square's Hard Rock Cafe
Umm, last call in NYC is at 4am?! I didn't think that was possible in North America! Way.too.awesome. Obviously reason #5909709 that I should live here :)

Day #3 - our last :( - is coming up soon...

NYC, Part I

It's been over a week since my teaser but with all my Birthday excitement I just didn't get a chance to write about the trip.

We booked our trip to NYC nearly a month in advance and I then spent those few weeks in a mix of nervous, anxious excitement...and let me tell you that there were no disappointments! dC did the booking & I did the tour planning - that's why we're a team :)

Friday morning we got there bright and early at 9am so after a quick breakfast we were off to discover Lower Manhattan!

We stayed in Times Square right around the corner from here!
Visiting the 9/11 Memorial
You could only get tickets for it online and we didn't know about it but the line was huge & I'd rather see it all done anyway.

Occupy Wall Street!
I could not believe how many tents there were! It stretched down the block!

I don't remember the name but it was damaged in the 9/11 attacks

We took the Staten Island Ferry instead of the Ellis Island  one b/c it was free :)

The Statue of Liberty
We came to the consensus that it is really freaking small in real life LOL

NYSE

I swear this wasn't planned but we (I) found Tiffany's! :)
(only to match my glasses & earrings of course!)

One many-a-Trump buildings!

Brooklyn Bridge!

After discovering Lower Manhattan we headed back up to Times Square & did the tourist thing. Honestly, when we got back at 1am, it felt like 10pm because it's so bright and busy out there all.the.time!!
M&M store!

So.many.lights!

End of Day 1!
Day 2 was less touristy and more exploring the city & its people.. stay tuned!
