NEW TOY!

Ah! I just super want to share my excitement over my new toy!

Isn't it beautiful?! My laptop crashed so I needed a new computer & I felt that a desktop would be a good investment. Ah-May-Zing.

Mini Christmas Wishlist

So as I mentioned, this year my Christmas spirit has been lacking largely due to gift-block [it's like writer's block]. I have never ever left Christmas shopping this late. By this time, my gifts are wrapped and under the tree!!! Not so this year.

But i've also had a hard time sharing my wish list with others - aka my mom & cousin, who are the only ppl that buy for me LOL But here's some of the things I've been thinking about.

I decided I want a holster for my Blackberry. My Curve is the only one that doesn't just come with one and that's just not cool. I've decided on this one.

And because my cousin is so awesome, I already know I'm getting it & I'm super duper pumped!! :)

Next I would also like a pair of black leather gloves. B/c they're classy. And I'm classy. Ok fine - I try to be. These will just help my cause!

Also, since my constant goal is to start exercising more at all, I would also like a yoga mat.

And that's it! I know - doesn't give my poor mom much to work with :( The problem is that a lot of the other things I want need right now I need to pick up myself. But at the same time, I don't like getting money - gift cards it really really depends - because I want to be surprised! Lose/lose sitch. Bleh.

How do you guys feel about receiving money/gift cards for Christmas?
Is the element of surprise important to you?

Buying necessities isn't reallyyyyy shopping!

I love to shop. I don't know a girl who doesn't which makes me totally UNoriginal. That's not what i was going for though, so it's alright.

It's not just about having something brand spankin' new - which is aaaaaaaaawesome! But i love the thrill of getting a fantastic deal! I may or may not consider myself the Queen of Frugal. Therefore Outlet malls = heaven!

Anyway my point is - i've been eyeing the following things:

THIS exact purse. $50 from ALDO.
I think it's allowed b/c i don't own a brown purse, which everyone should since it's a major purse-colour. So it's more of a necessity in that case. Yes? K good :)

Light boots are the best thing for Fall (and Spring). Flats make your feet cold and since i don't really wear 'sneakers', i really need these to keep away the Fall frostbite.
A grey pair like these.
Grey would go great with my usually-black attire - tights, leather jacket, etc - and "brighten" up the look LOL It may not match my new brown purse, but really - who matches shoes & purses thaaaaat much these days!?

Belts are a GREAT way to add flare to an outfit, and it's so easy to switch them up!
Stylish belts to accessorize my outfits.
They can be any colour. Preferably something versatile that i can wear in an office (to the job i don't have) and out on the town! Versatile = useful = necessity, not just want. Trust me.

I LOVE sweater dresses! They're so simple yet look so great!
I like this one.
I have a nice grey one so something in black and/or brown. That'll complete the collection. For now, i suppose.

Finally, WHY is it so difficult to find a NICE white, collared shirt?!!? It's a freakin' staple! [AKA necessity.]
See, this one is cute! Available in stores? Apparently not the ones i've been checking out!

I love Fall because of all the layering you get to do - and effectively using several pieces from my closet all at once! Haven't i proven i deserve to go shopping?!?!?!

So on that note, anyone seen any great sales lately? ;)

Money makes the world go 'round?

Back from my weekend shopping trip in PA with my fave twin - my mom! :)  We had a great time shopping, dining, sightseeing and wine tasting!

Interestingly enough, our trip was sponsored by - money. So whoever started spreading the nasty rumour that 'money can't buy happiness' should be glad they're (likely) no longer around for me to argue with.

I know this seems lame but i seriously feel the need to get my argument out in the open. And it's my blog so i'm gonna go for it!

Sure, there's a whole slew of [important] things that money can't buy:
- health [we like this]
- a great relationship/significant other [we all want this eventually]
- rivalry-free fam life [and keeping blood pressure at a normal level]
- genuine friends to support your ass when you're down [thank you!] & go out with [shots!]
- a JOB! [pretty please?]
...i could go on.

But there's plenty of stuff that i love which money CAN and does buy:
- gas for my car (which i bought with $$$ too) to go and see my fave people!
- a netbook to post my blogs & write my millions of cover letters [you like this]
- a TV to watch the shows & movies that make me smile :)
- plane tickets to satisfy my immense love of travel [Europe anyone? Yiiiiah]
- ingredients to make dinner & baked goods for people i love <3
- occasional shopping therapy to keep me sane ;)
...you get it.

Not to mention signing up for those glorified dating websites to get a date or two. Maybe even a marriage! Or two? I don't plan on going in this direction but to each their own.

In conclusion, money can buy my happiness - anyday. But it can't solve all my problems, i know this. Ok, i'm glad we agree! :)

Since you stuck around this long, here's more mini-rant. Watching TV while writing this provoked the following thoughts.

Eggo waffles. Yea i loved them when i was young but i have come a long way since then. I can now make my own BETTER waffles from scratch. And guess what!? Freeze then toast them up later. Trust me when i tell ya that they are delicious. And healthy since i make the whole wheat kind :) What up now Kelloggs?!

Oh there's yet another Monopoly on the market, what a surprise. The commercial claims that the Monopoly electronic banking - "kids love it!" Really? Probably because they don't have to use their fucking brains. Don't even get me started on how much i hate today's youth. Hate.

Why am i so good at math? (I already warned you about the nerdiness ;P) Probably because i played the Game of Life all the freakin' time and adding up THOUSANDS of dollars in my head is really useful for brain and math development. Maybe you little teenaged, hard-headed fuckers should give that a try sometime?

Just think about how much travelling i could do if i had all the money contained a box of Monopoly!! :)
